Legal Disclaimer

BitRelay provides software and technology designed to make using Bitcoin simpler and more accessible. Information and functionality made available through the BitRelay website, application, or related services are provided for general informational and technological purposes and should not be interpreted as investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice.
Bitcoin Risk
Bitcoin is a digital asset whose market value can fluctuate significantly. The value of Bitcoin may increase or decrease rapidly, and you may lose some or all of the value associated with Bitcoin you acquire, receive, send, or hold.
BitRelay does not guarantee the price, liquidity, availability, performance, or future value of Bitcoin.
You are responsible for determining whether acquiring, holding, sending, receiving, or selling Bitcoin is appropriate for you.
No Investment Advice
Nothing presented by BitRelay constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, endorsement, or offer to buy, sell, or hold Bitcoin or any other financial product.
Any prices, exchange rates, balances, transaction information, market information, estimates, illustrations, or similar information displayed through BitRelay are provided for informational or transactional purposes only.
Financial Services and Third-Party Providers
Certain BitRelay features may depend on independent third-party service providers, including providers of payment, banking, identity-verification, liquidity, exchange, infrastructure, or other regulated services.
Where applicable, those services may be subject to separate eligibility requirements, identity verification, geographic restrictions, fees, terms, privacy policies, and regulatory requirements.
The availability of a feature within the BitRelay interface does not necessarily mean that the feature is available to every user or in every jurisdiction.
BitRelay does not represent that any proposed, preview, beta, development, or partner-dependent feature is available until it has been expressly activated for the applicable user and jurisdiction.
No Deposit or Investment Insurance for Bitcoin
Bitcoin is not a bank deposit and is not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Bitcoin also should not be assumed to receive Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) protection.
Any separate fiat or financial product offered through a third-party financial institution, if applicable, will be subject to the disclosures and protections specifically provided by that institution.
Wallet and Security Responsibility
Where BitRelay provides non-custodial wallet functionality, users are responsible for protecting their devices, authentication credentials, recovery information, wallet access, and other security information associated with their account.
Loss, compromise, or unauthorized use of credentials, devices, recovery information, or wallet access may result in loss of access to Bitcoin or other consequences.
No software, wallet, network, authentication system, or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Transaction Finality
Bitcoin and Lightning Network transactions may become final and may be difficult or impossible to reverse after they have been authorized or settled.
Users are responsible for confirming recipient information, payment amounts, fees, and other transaction details before authorizing a transaction.
Network and Technology Risks
Bitcoin and Lightning Network functionality depends on decentralized networks, software, internet connectivity, infrastructure providers, and other systems that may be outside BitRelay’s control.
Transactions may be delayed, rejected, interrupted, unavailable, or affected by network congestion, routing conditions, software failures, third-party outages, protocol changes, cybersecurity events, or other technical conditions.
Fees
Fees may apply to certain transactions or services. Applicable fees should be displayed or disclosed before a transaction is authorized where required.
Network fees, third-party charges, exchange rates, spreads, and other transaction costs may change over time.
Geographic and Regulatory Availability
Bitcoin-related and financial services are subject to laws and regulations that vary by jurisdiction.
BitRelay features may therefore be limited, modified, suspended, or unavailable in certain countries, states, territories, or other jurisdictions.
A jurisdiction appearing on the BitRelay website, application, roadmap, availability interface, or development materials should not by itself be interpreted as confirmation that every BitRelay feature has been legally or commercially launched in that jurisdiction.
Third-Party Content and Services
BitRelay may display, integrate with, or link to third-party websites, applications, APIs, networks, products, or services.
BitRelay does not control independent third parties and does not guarantee their availability, accuracy, security, performance, or continued operation.
Use of third-party services may be governed by separate agreements between you and the applicable provider.
No Guarantee of Availability
BitRelay may modify, test, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or replace features as the platform develops.
Beta, preview, prototype, demonstration, development, or planned functionality may change and should not be relied upon as a commitment that a particular feature will become commercially available.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for complying with laws and regulations applicable to your use of Bitcoin and BitRelay, including any applicable tax, reporting, financial, or other legal obligations.
You should consult qualified professional advisers regarding your individual circumstances when appropriate.
Additional Terms
This Legal Disclaimer should be read together with the applicable BitRelay Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, transaction disclosures, fee disclosures, third-party terms, and any other notices presented in connection with a particular service.
If there is a conflict between this general disclaimer and specific terms or disclosures governing a particular product or transaction, the specific terms or disclosures will control.
